Recall that the Cora Sector of the brain is only called such in this specific document. The actual name of this part of the brain (described most similarly by the Yogi Philosophy) to date has no official designation, not among traditional psychic rumor or modern neurology. So the designation may vary frequently, like how spiritualists refer to something similar as “the pineal gland.”7Please respect copyright.PENANAGoThbpdbqp

However, we know that this part of the brain, no matter how small does exist, and is apparently affected by some external stimuli. The Cora sector of the brain is responsible for “projecting” and “receiving” the psionic signals sent out by another Scion, or the signals that float nearby in parallel Astral space through Thought Dynamics or in a nearby psi-field. While the signals alone are not affected by any kind of matter or energy of the physical plane, the Cora Sector of the brain is affected, as it is a physical and biological part of the body. As such, there are certain factors that play into strong interference with the body’s ability to project these signals at will.7Please respect copyright.PENANA0QCLapgynj

This is very important to mention, because those with psionic powers will struggle to use them when these interference factors are present. Since the primary disruption factor is usually unavoidable due to the circumstances, many of the Scions who are part of information gathering projects, usually to snoop on targets using Clairvoyant abilities may obtain incomplete or unintelligible data from targets when this kind of disruption gets in the way, making it that much harder to properly obtain usable data for further analysis and conclusion. There are many factors, but the one to worry about the most is heat.7Please respect copyright.PENANAMVMgVgwwhi

Thermal energy, particularly ranging closely to the cut-off point of 63oF and higher has a potent negative effect of suppression on the Cora Sector of the brain. The human body itself is much warmer than 63oF internally, but the Cora sector of the brain can sense both psionic energy and thermal energy within a 1 mile radius. For reasons still unknown to the AVPSI, nearby warm environments typically from seasonal outdoor locations will hamper the psionic abilities of active Scions, without exception. The “1 mile rule” is referred to regarding this disruption because there seems to be variance of effect from long-to-short distance specifically.7Please respect copyright.PENANAYgNwgx7Dqo

For example, a Scion standing in a cold room, whether outdoors or indoors will be capable of projecting signals. However, if only the immediate space (which in exponential effect is within 1 mile) is warmer than 63oF, the projection strength from the Scion becomes weaker, if not suppressed entirely. It’s as if an entire mile of cold space is required for these psionic projections to properly leave the physical world and make it back to the other side of the Scion’s target - however distant. The effect varies based on the amount of proportional spacial heat present within the mile, as well as the Scion’s body’s physical location relative to the immediate temperature. This means that if a Scion is standing in a too-warm small-room while it is cold outdoors, their powers will be disrupted, but not enough to shut them down, depending on the heat level (where something like 100oF room temperature would have a full nullification effect.) If the room itself is cold but the outside is warm, then the nullification becomes nearly absolute, shutting down the power to properly project. If the temperature indoors and 0.5 miles outward is cold, but the next 0.5 miles is suddenly very warm, it will have a partial dampening effect on the Scion’s projection strength.7Please respect copyright.PENANAKLMk4V8wVF

Ultimately, this means that a Scion operating in a warm climate, even within an air-conditioned space (assuming it is less than 1.0 miles) will be totally disabled and unable to use any psionic powers if the thermal energy is high enough. As such, this has been a frequent and quick determination when judging other self-proclaimed psychics to know whether or not their words have any merit to them. This heat disruption is usually not known to any other self-proclaimed psychics outside of the AVPSI, due to the classified nature of this research. Of course, if such information becomes widely accepted, the AVPSI will have other tools they can resort to for debunking false psychics.7Please respect copyright.PENANANHi2BbzMnO

Conversely, this kind of heat disruption works both ways (of the initial sending node point and the target node point). If a Clairvoyant for example wants to spy on an individual halfway across the world or even the universe, the target individual, (even if they are not an active Scion or are not actively projecting their psionic energy), if their physical presence is in a warm environment, this factor will also disrupt the “echo return data” collected on that individual. The sending node (Clairvoyant) would be aware that their abilities are functioning normally, but that their target is either in an unknown location, or unavailable for information retrieval through the forced sharing of sight-based sensory information technique of Clairvoyance. Simply put, a Scion using an ability that targets another individual who is currently in a warm climate will be unable to discern any information about their target, including enough to know whether or not their target is in the expected location or if the target is in a warm climate to begin with. The “Echo return data” (psionic information that functions somewhat like a kind of multi-dimensional echo location) is collected from that target’s own Cora sector of the brain, which is then subconsciously projected (using a very low-powered but still detectable signal; detectable to the clairvoyant) from them back to the spacial direction of the node’s sender. However, even those who project psionics (usually in the form of thought dynamics) will be unable to project at all if their presence is in a warm environment. Consequently, they are protected from clairvoyant spies, though are never made aware of such a fact. From this information, it has also been deduced that the reason Clair-sensing only works on very few animals, and that telepathy only happens between two people rather than one person and a different creature has to do with the configuration of the brain and the effectiveness of this Cora region.7Please respect copyright.PENANANvhU902HEn

While less relevant, there are still a few other factors that can cause a disruption in the brain’s ability to project psionic signals, such as strong headaches/migraines, which disrupt that person’s ability to properly focus and concentrate (a requirement to use many psionic powers in the first place). Another potential factor is a lack of available biological energy, typically in the form of hydration. The use of psionic abilities has a proven documented effect on the person of rapid dehydration, and so constant hydration is very important to an active Scion. There is more question about how many would define biological energy (as this mostly pertains to the sensation or resistance to fatigue and exhaustion, be it physical and mental), though hydration is one of these elements. The last and most obvious disruption projection is a lack of consciousness, either in sleep, severe injury, or death. Subconscious-level projections can occur in both sleep and injury, but such is never enough to trigger the effect of controlled psionic abilities beyond accidental Thought Dynamics (which is not really an ability either). It explains why two nodes who are telepathically connected will be forced to disconnect when either one attempts to rest.
