This contest is all about minstrels. Medieval poets, singers, and storytellers, minstrels were a fun source of entertainment!

RULES

-Must be about a minstrel. I don't care what they do. Maybe they get mixed up in something they shouldn't have. A comic-relief minstrel would make my day! It can be historically accurate, or it can be fantasy. Go crazy!

-Swearing, blood, gore, hanging, the plague; it's all allowed.

-NSFW, smut, graphic sexual content; not allowed. This contest is rated PG-13. References to sexual situations are allowed, but keep it classy.

-Alcohol and drugs; both are allowed. Just make sure that the use of your chosen drugs are accurate for the time period! Or, if you go the fantasy route, go crazy and make things up. As for alcohol, I have no special regulations.

-Word count limit is a strict 3,500. That should be enough to world-build, plus get your minstrel in and out of trouble!

-Grammar and spelling plays heavily into my judging. Make sure your story has proper line breaks, proper punctuation, and proper spelling!

-Where your story goes is UP TO YOU! I'm not here to see cookie-cutter stories. I want to see action, adventure, and, most importantly, YOUR mark on the story. Make me want more!

-HAVE FUN. If you don't have fun with it, I sincerely recommend taking a deep breath and listening to... medieval music? I don't know what that entails, but it sounds interesting and fun. If you find some medieval music, let me know!

If you look at my page, it’s pretty evident that I have a habit of starting projects that I'm probably never going to finish. 🌟Hi everyone! Question of the week: What's one book you had to throw away after reading it? Mine was the book, Looking for Alaska by John Green! I use to be very unaware of certain types of books that were inappropriate and non inappropriate, now I understand especially as a Christian and a follower of Jesus, that we have to be careful of what we are reading! So years later after reading the book & realizing this, I decided that it would be best to throw it away! 📚

Guardian Angel: sometimes shows her wings, sometimes doesn’t. When things are unfair, or someone is in danger of serious injury from their opponent, she appears. She despises those who cheat. She also hates braggers and unfair outcomes. Rarely will she ever actually be in a match, especially a 1 vs 1, but occasionally she might be in a tag team, or a big PPV like WrestleMania or the Royal Rumble. She’ll only be in a 1v1 if she’s challenged. She doesn’t back down from challenges, but she doesn’t issue them as she doesn’t really care about winning titles, only about protecting her friends and keeping things fair.

If those closest to her (like Cody) start going down a dark/heel path, she’ll fight to bring them back to good.

I think the one of the most primary emotional relevance of the books that we read for English usually has to do with growing up, and many classics even fall in the category of growing up. I want you to think, if there was technology that could reverse age you, and people either methodically used for a study (and what others would know), and the affected adults, now children temporarily didn't know, given that they had the memories of an adult. How would they feel different? Maybe they could be put in a dire situation, as children, and those kids, because of some kind of magical chemical solution, mature emotionally faster, what would that look like, and how would that effect how intelligently they figure out the solution. There must be some bad consequences to it as well, because these types of experimentation on people and new products shouldn't have been introduced because of the ethical flaws. For example, those children could understand childish concepts with greater precision and speed, but because of maturing too quickly aren't ready for the heavier adult subjects. And also, they feel insecure and urged to understand very mature and inappropriate topics unfortunately, and when they encounter some truths of the adult world they can't emotionally handle it. How would this story go?
