The reason for this is not known, nor are all of the effects involved, but the AVPSI has proven and documented that this phenomena is possible. While not exclusive to just one subject, Experiment #24 demonstrated this by consciously learning to use and execute simple Clairvoyance during his primary peaking phase, but the subject ceased using this ability for a few weeks after about two months of successful executions of the ability, for personal reasons and against advice. It has also been determined that the average amount of time for this atrophy to occur depends on the ability.
