There is only one way to ask the question, and too many ways to answer it. Aside from its convenient connection to psionics, the Astral Plane has some understood properties that allow interaction from the physical world to the astral world. Sometimes seen as “The ghost world of the current physical world,” the Astral Plane is essentially an infinite space identical to the physical world, where the data-layer of existing properties to base-line definitions allow a person’s soul to consciously interact with all aspects of the Astral Plane. Not much is known about anything beyond the Astral World, but the Astral Plane itself is of great interest for more reasons than its relation to psionics. What is known are the consequences that psionic energy waves set for the Astral World. Since these waves travel through the plane, it can be intercepted (while unaffected) by conscious beings of the Astral World as well. Whether or not reverse interception is possible has yet to be determined.
