"Look at her not caring a little bit about us and winning the competition like it's nothing." One competitor in the contest murmurs while seeing the women walk off the stage. "Just because she's beautiful and dances better than us doesn't mean she can see us as trash!" Another competitor exclaims as she agrees with the other competitor. The woman, Daisy Aku, ignores the words directed at her, walks off stage and heads back to her own dressing room, preparing for the after party later. World wide ballroom dance championship, a ballroom dance competition that every ballroom dance dancer dreamed of even participating in, not to say winning it. Yet, despite winning the competition, Daisy isn't showing any sign of joy for it. There is something troubling her lately, troubling her to the point that she can't honestly feel happy for her win.
"Daisy, you don't need to mind what those girls said, you've won fair and square and put your all into it." Someone called out to Daisy from behind.
"How many times do I need to tell you Yarrow, I’m not bothered by it.” That is true, Daisy is not even a single bit bothered by what the girls said.
“Yet, I see you practicing smiling towards the mirror?”
“......” Maybe a little bit, maybe Daisy did get bothered a little bit by what the girls said, however that is still not the main reason Daisy is troubled.
"So, when are you gonna go out with me?”
“For the last time Yarrow, I am not going out with you.”
Yes, this is the biggest thing on Daisy’s mind lately, her dancing partner, Yarrow, has been trying to get Daisy to go out with him for the past 6 months.
“Besides, aren't I a bit too old for you?” Daisy exclaimes. Daisy is currently 33 while Yarrow is 25.
“Not at all and before you say anything the fact that you once had a divorce and had 2 daughters doesn’t bother me as well.”
“And you realize that is also the biggest reason why I don’t want to be in another relationship anymore?” Daisy said in a defeated tone while turning around and facing Yarrow.
“Speaking of which, any luck in seeing your daughters?” Casually ignoring the fact that Daisy just announced that she isn’t interested in going into a relationship, Yarrow changes the subject.
“Nothing, the bastard isn’t letting me anywhere near them.” Daisy replied while shaking her head. Daisy’s ex-husband who has won the daughter’s custody isn’t letting Daisy near their daughter at all. Daisy can’t file a complaint either, because of her ex-husband’s power and fame no one dares goes against him , thus no one dares to help Daisy.
"Daisy, I know your daughters are important to you but it's been years now. Don't you think it's about time to open up and try to accept someone again?" Yarrow has a faint sad smile on his face, he's been trying for 6 months and even though he has no intention of giving up he is getting a bit tired.
"......." Turning her back, Daisy didn't say anything, yet Yarrow can understand. Daisy's thinking, she is seriously considering what he is saying. To this Yarrow's smile brightens, he knows his effort hasn't gone unseen. "Well, call me to help if you need anything, I'll be there. Now let's get you ready for that party later." He says to Daisy and sees Daisy off back to her dressing room, not knowing there are pairs of eyes looking at him from behind.

Soon night falls and Daisy is now standing in a ball-room where the party is held. Eyes of others all stick onto her, some just curious, some with an admiring gaze, some measuring her worth and some with malicious intents. Daisy’s stomach grumbles from all the gaze, it's giving her pressure that she isn’t good at dealing with at the first place. “May we please welcome the champion of this year Ms. Daisy and Mr. Yarrow for the opening dance.” The host announced, it is tradition for the winning pair to start the party off, this year is no exception. Walking down to the center of the room Daisy met up with Yarrow and started their dance. Seeing their dance the guest’s eyes grow wide, it’s like water, elegant and fluent.

“You don’t look too happy.” Yarrow said to Daisy while still dancing. “The pressures are getting to you huh, you do really well dancing in competitions but you can’t dance in front of a crowd outside of competitions. It’s a shame since you actually love dancing so much.” Yarrow continues. “Shut...shut up.” Daisy replied in a trembling voice while doing a perfect turn. “ …...Would you want to have a dance later in private?” Yarrow asks. “......” After a short hesitation, Daisy nods her head. A big smile appears on Yarrow’s face. At this moment the dance ends, they bow to the audience and head back to their own seats. “Now let the dances officially begin!” With the host’s words as a signal people match up as pairs and start dancing.

“Ms. Daisy…..I have an urgent phone call for you.” Just when Daisy is about to find a place to relax herself, someone reaches out to her. “?” Although confused Daisy picks up the phone, “MS.DAISY! THANK GOD! I FINALLY FOUND YOU!” on the other end of the phone is Daisy’s old family doctor when she was still married. “what is -----” “YOUR DAUGHTER, LILITH SHE….SHE JUMPED OFF A BUILDING!” Hearing his words Daisy drops the phone on the floor. After knowing which hospital her daughter Lilith is sent to, she runs off.

Running down the street, taking off her high heels that almost trip her, ripping apart her white dress so she can run, Daisy finally arrived at the hospital. “Why are you here?” the person that asked is Daisy’s ex-husband, his face to Daisy is as usual, can’t be read. “HOW CAN I NOT BE HERE WHEN MY DAUGHTERS HURT!” Daisy exclaimed. “You're prohibited to go anywhere near them.” Daisy’s ex-husband continues. “BY WHAT!” “THE LAW DAISY! THE LAW!” Daisy’s ex-husband shouts. Daisy is left with no words, her mouth left wide open, her eyes losing its focus. “......Take her outside…..” With Daisy’s ex-husband’s order Daisy was dragged and dumped out of the hospital. “LET ME IN! LET ME IN!” Daisy shouts over and over again, yet the door never opened for her again that night.

Alone, barefooted and cold from the night, Daisy wanders down the streets, miserable and lost in life. It is at this moment Yarrow's words ring in her head.

He said. With shaky hands Daisy takes out her phone and types in Yarrow’s number.
Ring ring ring
ring ring ring
ring ring ring
ca-cha
He didn’t answer. “Huh” Daisy let out a small snort, she should have known better than to trust man, known better than to trust someone who said he loves her. With heavy steps Daisy drags herself back home. Her daughter jumped off a building, the person she unconsciously relies on emotionally ignores her, how can this day get any worse. Yet little does Daisy know, the day is nowhere near its end.

Returning to her apartment, Daisy took out her key to open the door, yet the door isn’t locked and there are sounds coming from inside the apartment. Suspecting there are thieves inside, Daisy silently enters the apartment, takes a knife from the kitchen to protect herself and carefully walks towards where the sound comes from, her bedroom. Sneaking over, with her knife in hand, she flings open the door.
” Who’s there!”
Trying to act tough with her last piece of sanity from this terrible day, she shouts. However, when the scene in front of Daisy leaps into her eyes, she completely loses it. In front of Daisy stands Yarrow, like an animal making love with the girls that have bad mouthed Daisy in the competition, in Daisy’s bedroom. What happened next Daisy didn’t really remember, she heard screaming, sounds of flesh getting torn open, red and warm liquid on her hand and white dress. She continues moving her arms up and down almost mechanically at this point and finally she stops. In front of her is the corpse that was once Yarrow, tic tac, tears goes down Daisy’s cheek. Looking around the other girls are already nowhere to be seen. “Right, you promised me one more dance when we are in private, did you.” With a shivering voice Daisy murmurs. Picking up Yarrow’s corpse Daisy begins dancing.

To everyone reading this, this is an origin story. An origin story about the myth of the woman in a dress tainted with red. Tonight the woman who wears a dress tainted with red began dancing, with both her knife and a fresh corpse in hand.
