So we crept away and set off across Arizona once again to find Reggie.
Next to me Dianne breathed heavily.
We were both hungry and thirsty, having last ate a long, long time ago.
Our supplies had already run out. Perhaps we should have waited a bit longer in the prison we would have gotten fed.
Or, on the other hand, perhaps we wouldn't have been.
"Can... we take... a rest?" She said at last, breathlessly.
"All right."
The boy with the grey hair woke with a start.
He tried to pull himself up, but winced, grabbing his chest.
His cloudy grey eyes surveyed his surroundings; behind him, a wreckage. Everywhere else was just desert that seemed to stretch on endlessly.
He got onto his feet, almost crying out in pain as a burning sensation shot through his chest once again.
He breathed heavily and began to walk.
