"So we are Kael Kuon Polaris, Nadine Mayers Polaris, Mira Feit Polaris and Ivy Kurt Polaris right? Though I still don't get why we still have to keep our former last name as our middle name." asked Kael towards Ivy
"It was a name that Sister Kat gave to us so I don't want us to lose one of the last connections that we have to her" answered Ivy

"I was also wondering where the imprints that you awakened before during your awakening ceremony were but now I see that they were upgraded and locked. I understand why it was advised for us to make a family name. With these advantages, it would be helpful for us in this cruel world" said Kael after listening to the explanations that they each gave about the changes on their codexes.
"What about you, little Kael? What was your affinity?" asked Mira towards Kael
"It said that my life experiences are not enough to choose an affinity" Kael answered
"Really? That's quite weird. Is this due to you having lost your memory which is why your Codex couldn't record these life experiences and events?" questioned Mira
"I believe that is the case." answered Kael in a depressing tone
"Don't worry about that, Kael. It would be fine because when you have accumulated enough life experiences, you would be able to awaken one too." comforted Nadine with her normally stoic face and personality
"Yeah, thanks Nad" responded Kael to Nadine's comforting.
"So should we tell Liora that we are ready now?" asked Ivy from the sideline
"Yeah we should start getting ready to leave this village to begin heading to Qip city" stated nadine as she stood up and headed to the door leading outside of the room with Kael, Mira and Ivy following her lead.
OUTSIDE THE ROOM
"I thought you guys would've slept there forever. I was starting to think that the idea to leave you all to fend for yourselves was a smart idea" said Liora as soon she noticed us leaving the room
"Sorry for keeping you waiting for this long, Liora" said Kael in an apologising tone
"It's fine. But you have to make it up to me later, Kael" said Liora towards Kael with a smile
"Yeah, sure" answered Kael, then paused for a few seconds before questioning the only person here with the idea of the location that we were heading towards. "So how are we going to Qip City?"
"We are going to follow the merchant's cart that is set to arrive in this village today to sell goods, but unique goods, deliver messages and other sorts of businesses. " answered Liora

"Yeah, that is all we have to do, though we still have to pay in order to hitch a ride, I've got that part covered but this would drain me of my funds greatly so when we arrive at Qip city, we would have to work in order to be able to support our living" Liora added
"That's fine with me but if we wish to save money, is it not a better alternative to walk to Qip city instead of taking the carriage?" questioned Ivy
"That would be a really bad choice. Number one, with none of us having the right experience to tackle the occasional reverse beats that pop out, two being the fact that you all just went through some changes and it would take some time to be familiar with all the new changes and us walking there might have some consequences to this like you lot not being ready during an attack or having problems fighting off the beasts. Third, there is also the fact that it would take us at least a week to reach there and without proper food and wild survival experiences and tactics needed, you might find out that there is more in the wild that could kill you if the beasts don't like poisonous foods and plants, hunger and harsh and extreme weather so it is more mature and responsible to take the carriage even if takes a big dip out of our funds" explained Liora
"Sorry for all the inconvenience I've caused for you all" said Ivy in a defeated tone crept within sadness

"Shushhh. This is none of your fault, Ivy. If there is anyone to blame, it should fall upon me because it was my negligence which led to you getting hurt na dit was also my codex which made Sister Kat to end up getting killed" Kael said
"None of it is your fault, it entirely lies with the Holy Church of the Broken and that is why we shall do everything we can to ensure that they pay for all of their wrongdoings, so there's no need to beat yourself over that" commented Liora with a voice filled with determination while she looked towards me with an angelic soft and beautiful smile
"Yeah, Liora is right, little Kael. You're not at fault and neither would Sister Kat think so" added Mira to which Nadine nodded her head to show her acceptance and agreement to what Mira had just stated
"Thanks. I really appreciate this" Kael mentioned
"This is quite sentimental and all, but you might wanna conclude and pack it up because I think it is time for us to get goin gif we don't want to miss the carriage" mentioned Nadine reminding us of more important matters
Heeding her advice, we started to walk towards the village square where we shall meet the carriage that shall take us to Qip town.
