There are monsters and lovers

hidden deep inside the poet

and I feed the first ones and beat the others

I know my words always sound like a slaughter.

Starving beasts eat all my angels

and I know I'd write much better

if I had some kind of balance

but my heart is full of violence.

And every time I feel pure I remain silent.

I always put on a show, I always play a part

because I lost myself long ago and I stabbed my heart.

But who the hell is the real me?

As she ever felt so free?

am I a he, are we a we?

I'm ironic, neurotic, anxious...

...ly waiting for me

like I wait for Godot

I'm a ship that's sinking.

My New Year's resolution was writing words until I was crazy

and lately, I can say I've made it.

I'm just being really honest, spitting ink right on the paper

and I won't give up, cause it's never now or never

it's always now or later.
