I sat bolt upright, my red hair flying out and across my face. I heaved a sigh and rubbed my hand over my face, pushing the waves out the way. I glanced at the clock and my eyes widened at the time. I pushed back my duvet along with my patchwork quilt. I jumped out of bed, swaying slightly, before sprinting out the room and into another room - this one purple and turquoise. I then ran and jumped to the lump in the covers. I yelled as I landed. “Wakey wakey, Maya!” A head then pops up blond and red hair a mess I grinned "We’re gonna be late" I sang out, her eyes looked at me blearily but then widened. I was downstairs making sure we had everything for school and made breakfast for Maya and her parents. I heard the stairs creak and Maya came into the kitchen wearing a purple neck, long sleeved shirt with a turquoise denim waistcoat and shorts. She then sat at the bar holding her light blue high-tops. Handing her breakfast to her, I ambled upstairs to give her parents theirs too. Then walking to my room I pulled on a light blue tunic shirt over my darker blue tank top, grabbing my knee high socks and brown ankle boots. Walking out, I took my pink scarf from the hook. I ran back down, calling out to Maya: "You ready? We gotta go." Appearing in the doorway we grabbed our backpacks. Outside, Maya mounted her bike and I grabbed my skate board. Then we had to go to school. Such fun.
We made it to school just in time before the gates began to close. We then ran to our meeting spot were our friends were waiting, then in a joking voice Simba called out "Are you two ever here before the gates close" his thick Italian accent coating the words. Simba was one of the refuges from Italy, half their country is now gone. Simba had blond hair with dyed tips to look like fire, and warm golden eyes. Standing next to Simba was Willow and Skyler - Willow with big blue eyes and soft shoulder length brown hair. She was the stereotypical shy one of the group....Is what most people say, but oh boy when someone's rude she's one sassy little girl. Skyler was the one with crazy attitude problems Blue elbow length hair, flashing violet eyes. You’d thing those to would hate each other.... Nope they've been going out for the past two years. After those two, it was Blaze our schools resident King of Pranks. His mischievous grin was a mile wide and red eyes sparkling, my eyes narrowed in suspicion at that. I snapped out of my thoughts. Oh dear gods were going to be late to tutor! I called out to the others "Guys lets go, tutor's going to start any minute now!" my voice rising at the end. Hurrying to tutor, we continued to chat about random things. When we got to our annoying, utterly boring -useless classroom we walked in, sat down and waited for everyone else who was later than us to turn up.... slowly. Finally the last warning bell went and everyone arrived in tutor. The girl with the white hair and golden eyes??Started, brushing her fringe out the way she smiled "Hello everyone, my name is Nix Lumin - Nix - means Snow in Latin" she was wearing a lot of bangles/jewellery - gold star necklace and earrings, a bunch of bangles on each arm, then a white skirt with a dark blue to light blue umbrae shirt with a jacket and ...sandals that laced up to just under her knee.
