Chapter 28: Watery Decision
Elsewhere, on a forested floating fragment of island off the northern side of Flora, Ginsu appeared with Alura. He approached a cleared area and held a hand out. He manipulated the water in the trees and the area to chop down and arrange for a log cabin to be made. He did the same with some fallen trees to make two beds, a table, and two chairs. I can get the other needed things later. He thought and would move them inside using his magic before heading inside as well.687Please respect copyright.PENANAX7uR8UpiRS

Water had been placed and was clear to work as glass to keep out the cool night air. Quietly he entered and gently laid her down on one of the bed frames. “Be right back.” He whispered and was gone in a flash. He returned minutes later with another man wearing dignified cloaking under a travelers shoulder cape. “Do you mind?” he asked softly.687Please respect copyright.PENANA9MeVCjqkH4

The middle aged man adjusted his half spectacles and looked around the room. “I could but why don’t you just use your water with your abilities?”687Please respect copyright.PENANAmtTAhagsh1

“Because, I don’t want to exhaust myself since I will be training her in magic.” Ginsu stated as if it were a matter-of-fact while folding his arms.687Please respect copyright.PENANAqt01XSIE0U

“Hmm…” He shrugged nodding. “Alright, I’ll do this for you this once.” The man removed his traveler’s cape to show a metal crafted insignia of a fully trained sage. He tilted his head to the left then right, causing it to crack both times and the same as he stretched his arms over his head. He shook out his arms and took a couple cleansing breaths as he closed his eyes. He held his hands out in front of him and began to mumble words under his breath.687Please respect copyright.PENANA2dxCLarh66

Ginsu stepped back and watched as an odd circle of light began to snake out in an odd pattern under his spread footing. It extended out wide and another that matched appeared around his right wrist. The sage moved his right hand up then down which caused what looked like a tear to form. A different circle formed around his left wrist, spinning at the same speed as the other two and he moved that hand. Soon enough the room itself with the other rooms began to glow as he tapped into different elements of magic at once.687Please respect copyright.PENANAlaB1l2Cyga

The Water God watched impressed. The glow would continue with his moving the left arm and hand as if he were directing traffic. Minutes trickled by until nearly half an hour to an hour had passed and the spells began to close down. The sage moved his right hand up and twisted it while closing it tight. This sealed the tear and as the light faded, the magic spell circles faded as well. Once all had quieted down, he slowly opened his eyes to see his work. “You sages with the time magic amaze me.” Ginsu commented quietly with praise.687Please respect copyright.PENANA5pmqlawy7C

The sage huffed and put his hands on his hips. “Did you expect anything less? You can do a lot when you are human and put in the effort and diligence.” He replied as he made his way over and retrieved his cape. “As requested, I did use a copy spell and all is as it should be. You have all the necessities like anyone else and they will remain unless physically removed for use elsewhere.”687Please respect copyright.PENANAEsdV3lGU8d

“Thank you,” he pulled out a bag and handed it to the sage once he had his cape fastened, and offered a hand for payment. “You are free to rest here if you like to catch your breath.”687Please respect copyright.PENANAhLk2Y5gwzb

“I would enjoy that. I need to use a counter before the void effects start to take hold.” He made his way over to the sofa while pocketing the money and sat. He took a breath and relaxed back, closing his eyes and breathed slowly while focusing. A faint outline came around his head in a pulsing manner as well as around his torso. Ginsu decided to leave him be and made his way to Alura’s room to check on her.687Please respect copyright.PENANAiHHhR4pvG7

Ginsu peeked in on her and was pleased to see her resting peacefully under the new blankets on her soft mattress. Quietly he closed the door and made his way to his room that was right next to hers. Entering, he closed the door a crack and stripped himself of his shirt while walking to the bed. He tossed it onto the chair and took a deep breath, releasing it and let his gaze rest on the floor. This is what a father does when their child gets hurt, right? He pondered as it was now his mind began to question his hasty actions back on Lunar while he sat on the bed.687Please respect copyright.PENANA5yITfmD4SO

He shook his head while removing his shoes. No, I made the right choice. Any father would bar the man who made his little girl cry. He nodded and got under the covers and closed his eyes. “I made the right choice, I’m sure I did.” He whispered to himself as his eyes closed to allow his mind to drift off into, what he hoped would be, a restful slumber.687Please respect copyright.PENANAn3e1vorANe
