The story of the Great Gas leak will haunt people forever on.
The real tragedy that rebuilt a broken nation and tore it apart at the core.
Some call it an 'outbreak', others, a 'massacre'. But, no matter what you call it, everyone can agree that it was horrible.
After being officially discovered in the year of 2007 and used for underground illegal trade, no one had ever thought about the idea of Zypherlinaprobe for almost 33 years-until it was unexpectedly needed.
The year 2030, a year that most people would have expected major advancements in technology and, hopefully, society, was a year full of 'breaking points'.
Many good goals were hit that year, and people became more and less happy as more advancements were made-but none of that came without a cost.
The globe all over was experiencing some large developments and no one really took the time to believe the concerned activists who all said that 'We're running out of resources."
Unfortunately, those who spoke shame on the concept were right.
The world had been running extremely low on its natural resources such as coal, oil, and natural gas all because of the things that were 'a global turning point'.
There surely had to be a solution, right?
During this 'age of evolution', people began to lose hope after seeing the damage that this era had caused. Everywhere you went, cost was high for high-demand items such as gasoline.
It was awful for many especially after finally gaining what they had asked for.
Nothing did come for free, after all.
Some people learned to settle, while some others pondered ways to help this crisis.
But one person who grew up watching from a far wasn’t just going to wonder any longer.
After Youkai Reyusuke (the second) got tired of living and using Zypherlinaprobe as a way to finish people off back in the years of 2007-30, it all became such a bore to him.
Taking after his father's curious ways, he began to experiment with thee gas, tempering its elements until it became not a destroyer, but a creator.
He knew what resources he had at the time, old science tools that were left in the basement lab, goggles, beakers but most importantly, the first batch of Zypherlinaprobe.
He worked for a couple of months warping and shaping this toxic gas into something marvelous.
Youkai made sure to keep at least half of the first batch hidden under lock and key-just in case.
It wasn’t until the year of 2032 that Youkai's creation was finished. Even if Youkai's father promised that he wouldn't expose to his child to it too much.
More tests and trials, and more errors and mistakes later, he was able to create a gas that could quite literally act as a real-life multiplier. This gas could take the components of one object and grow and extend its properties by just air exposure.
He had done it.
He created what would save the world.
But, how was he going to get people to believe that it worked?
Annual science conventions were held at the college that Youkai attended and with this, he was sure to get recognition for his work.
And just like planned, he got recognized by the state, and then the country- and then he went global. Bringing this creation around the world and becoming known by almost everyone.
People began to get curious of this wonder and how it was supposed to work, but that was all until Youkai decided to pair up with a company that was dedicated to connect and build other companies, making industry boom with the spike of new resources and other things needed to make money.
Eventually, this 'small idea' became largely known all around the world, making Youkai famous.
Youkai's father, at the time, was in love with the creativity and his determination-he was always supportive no matter how much of a half-assed father he was.
Everything was falling in line swimmingly, considering the huge amount of money it made, while also fixing what was lost. The next ten years were the best years of Youkai's life. Both of them.
Everything went back to normal in the next 6 years and no one was to hear about this event ever again, but only to remember the surplus of aid it brought... right?
