I'm sitting on our usual cafeteria table spot, waiting for Soor with our friends. As 5 minutes passed and Soor's nowhere in sight I text her, asking her where she is. The 3 of us continue to wait for her, trying our very best to avoid touching the food before she's here. But as our give breakfast time nears it end, I text Soor, again.

”Hey, where are you? Breakfast time is almost over and we haven’t even touched our food waiting for you!” I send the message and look at my food.

When another 2 minutes passed and there was still no answer, I grab the fork and eat my pancakes. Our friends began to eat breakfast a minute before me, so they were almost done. However, as our breakfast came to an end, she never made an appearance or answered my text, which worries me.

I nod my head, as I look at the phone one last time, with no new messages on sight. We all stand up and head towards Soor’s dorm. As soon as I reach her door, I knock. But there was no answer, and I’m starting to get a bad feeling in my gut.

It’s nothing new for a person who’s unable to use powers to get eliminated by those who can. Most of those who are powerless get killed before they finish highschool. But I'm not one of those people, I swore I will protect Soor no matter what. Most people who wield powers are arrogant and mean towards others, but Soor, she's a gentle soul, always looking for the good in things. A few days after I met her, she stole my heart, I was madly in love with her, and the thought of seeing Soor’s lifeless body makes my blood run cold. I understand that in this society, those who cannot wield magic aren’t as useful as those who can but, that doesn’t mean that we have the right to eliminate them.

Lis has the power to unlock the most unlockable door and/or chest in the world even if the most powerful magician had locked it. Well, that's not the case with Legends since they were the ones who gave us magic in the first place. That aside, she also has the ability to make portals. It's not the first time that Soor has done something like this, but I can't be blamed for being worried about her because of the horrible things the powerless goes through. I can’t help but worry every time she’s not around me. Last time something like this happened we used Lis powers to unlock Soor’s door and found Soor extremely sick on her bed.

After Lis asked me if she should unlock the door, I turn towards her and nod, expecting something like last time. Lis unlocks the door with no problems and we all barge in Soor's room. Her bed was a mess, and her blankets were lying on the floor, leading up to the bathroom. As we walk closer to the bathroom’s door we hear Soor vomiting. Panicking, I run to the door and try to open it.

When Lis unlocks the door and enters the bathroom, she’s shocked to see the state Soor’s in. She looks like she’s been crying ever since she woke up, her towel barely covers her body, and her skin’s pale.

Seeing that Lis ddin't believe a word she said, she ceases her cries and keeps quiet. However she couldn't help but complain about having stomaches, headaches and a slight discomfort on her bottom half. At this point, Lis began to wonder if Soor has cheated on her boyfriend. She shock her head, not wanting to believe this since Soor is not the type of person to do something like that. She picks up her phone and message Mark and Trey to go to class without them. She helps her take a shower, dress herself up and helps her lie in bed.
