Today was a hectic day, as we accidentally scheduled three things one right after another. First thing was the ob-gyn appointment, where they said I was already two months along and it was twins. Then, we went to Ashlie's new middle school to get her enrolled. And Finally, we went to Ashlie's new pediatrician for her check up, where they told us she was healthy.
"Where do you two want to go for lunch?" Mitch asked. Ashlie looked a little confused.137Please respect copyright.PENANAjJ81K0aOCN
"What is there?" Ashlie asked.
"How about we go get bubble tea?" I asked.137Please respect copyright.PENANA9eza0RpjkM
"I love bubble tea!" Ashlie said.
"Oh," Mitch said, "Why don't we get some then?"
"Sure," Ashlie said, "But you won't do what Daddy did, will you?"137Please respect copyright.PENANAXnipuUMBd3
"I promise that I won't," Mitch said.
"I promise I won't as well," I said.
"Thank you, Mommy and Papa," Ashlie said.
"I love you, sweetheart," I said. Ashlie smiled.
"I love you too, Mommy," Ashlie said.
"Okay," Mitch said as we went into the bubble tea store, "So, which bubble tea do you want Ashlie?"
"Give me some time," Ashlie said.
"I'll have the honeydew milk tea with strawberry and yogurt popping boba," I said, "With low ice and no regular boba." Mitch smiled.137Please respect copyright.PENANARHwCpr372y
"At least that didn't change," Mitch said, "I can't wait to meet the baby."
"It's two," I said, "I forgot that you were with Ashlie in the waiting room when they told me, but it's twins and I'm two months along."
"Twins?" Mitch asked, "Really?"
"Which is weird, because there aren't any twins in my family," I said, "At least not closely related."
"Well, about that," Mitch said, "I'll tell you when we get home, but it's a bit of a surprise, to me at least."
"You can't just not tell me," I said.
"I'll go order our food with Ashlie, Hun," Mitch said, "You go find somewhere to sit."
"Okay," I said.
