Amongst the choes and the noise

Not trying to preach

But let me say

That weeks worth of thinking

Has come down to today

This one moment

And if I slip up

Blame it on me

And not my spoken word poetry

Notebooks filled

Start to finish with handwriting

Changed size from my younger years

Today

It's big enough to read

But others don't beileve

I've made progress

But I have

Life isn't a race

We make and learn from mistakes

Each and every day

Listen up, hear my voice

Take that little sentence

And make it your motto

Living life to the full

Like a car on a big throttle

You know who your friends are

And enemies

Keep your secrets under lock and key

Until the person you meet

Becomes your soul-mate

And makes everything complete
