The beaten guy cough and turned his gaze away. Willow felt weird and gulped. The next moment, Willow made him sit by supporting his back using her hand, while the other hand is on his arm. When he gazed at Willow for a second time, the color of his eyes she saw a while ago wasn't the same anymore.
It's now only dark brown.
How's that possible???
"You...tell me your name right now," She tried keeping herself together.
The beaten guy's face twisted and coughed. "Not...not here, can't..."
"What?! What do you mean---" Willow was perplexed, until she heard a couple of men addressing her title and name.
"Lady Willow!"
That was the knights her father was told to keep eye on her whenever she's escaping their place. Willow couldn't move and accepted her fate when she met the eyes of one of the knights who called her.
"I'm here! Please help me!" She shouted.
The four knights ran towards the horrible scene they saw.
"Lady Willow, what happened?!"
"The gang of thugs beat him up! Nothing happened to me---but we need to help this person first! Help me carry him on the Baron's place," She helped the beaten guy stand up.
The four knights hesitated, but it was their Lady's words to be obeyed.
Around them, people on the marketplace was still gossiping which made Willow suffer in silence. She can't just shout at them or do whatever she wants in this public place. Everywhere in this kingdom, she needs to keep her posture and title. After all, she always remembered her mother's words.
Above all, dignity. Always keep it, Willow.
Though sometimes, that words doesn't really help her do what she wants. It felt like a curse, so all she can do is restrain herself from doing and saying something people would thought is inappropriate for a lady like her.
One of the four knights named Elio carried the guy who's now fainted out of exhaustion in enduring those pain. Willow thanked him as they got inside the carriage on the way to the Baron's place.
Willow removed her gloves and changed her fit into dress in her room before she stumbled in the room where the knights brought beaten guy to cure his wounds.
Willow sighed in relief seeing the peaceful sleeping face of the man. Though his face got some bruise on it. But he has a fine face.
Honestly, if this man would say that he is a noble, Willow think everyone would believe him.
"Lady Willow, Lord Wyatt would be furious when he came back---I apologize for being rude but, who is this man? Why did you help him?"
The Lord Wyatt Elio mentioned was Willow's father, the Baron. Willow glanced at him before answering, "He's pity ful,"

"I'll take him under my wing once I've asked him about where he come from," Willow kept a straight face, she's serious.
The four knights and the physician (fortunately, who's also in the room) gasped.
"But the Lord---"
"My father can't do anything once I decide on something." A strong light flashed in her eyes as he gazed at Elio, making Elio step back for a moment and bowed his head.
Willow told them to leave, gazing at the beaten guy who's laying on the bed.
"I know you're already awake." Willow muttered.
His eyes trembled as he opened it, gazing at her.
