Chapter Two

Chris was seeing things.

The memories of the past was disorienting.

She opened the door, and Rick kissed her.

'Rick!'.

'Was it me, but did it cold in here'.

'Rick. I'm sorry. But, it's this place. I....'.

'Look, it's fine. Let's take it slow'.

And Chris saw someone go into the barn.

And she knew it was a stranger.

'Where's the bed?', Debbie asked Chris.

'There's a hammock. You might like it', Chris answered.

'Hey, where's the bed?', Andy asked Chris.

'There!', Chris answered.

And he smiled.

Earlier on, they had picked up Vera Sanchez.

'She's not going', her Mom said in Spanish.

But it was useless.

Vera went, and there wasn't anything to stop her.

'What do you mean the camp is closed?', Chuck asked Chris.

'It is near that lake', Debbie answered.

'I know', Chuck said.

'I need to go to the Grocery Store', Vera said.

'Can I come to?', Shelly asked her.

'Fine', Vera answered.

At the store, Shelly saw three gang members.

Ali, the African-American leader; Fox, his girlfriend; and Loco. They came towards the two campers. 'Is that your rubber? Didn't your Momma teach you better?', Fox asked her. 'Yes', Vera answered. 'Didn't she teach you manners? You have to ask'. 'Can I please have them?'.

'That's great; just great!'.

Then they saw Ali.

'Can I buy you two guys a beer?', Shelly asked them.
