My dear Africa, you suffered through trials and tribulations.
You were hated and pirated of your creations.
Your lands, rich with gold, your heart filled with pride, but you were never told;
But still, they took what was yours and the people you wanted to hide and mould.
Your power, taken away with your right,
You tried to waver, with all your might.
Forced into chains, your life left to rot,
Forced to give your people, forced to be bought.
You had to see your blood moved to slavery.
You were helpless, trapped in hypocrisy.
You had to stand up, had to make your mark,
Had to show the people who left you with such snarky remark.
Now you rose, forging ties with your previous foes,
Slowly rebuilding as your people grows.
But your people are safe, you can rest at last
Seeing your people succeed in this world so vast
Though you've rested, your spirit still shines
For your people rise, and your legacy intertwines
My dear Africa, you've made peace and sovereignty
Now at peace, you've found freedom, finally in SERENITY.
