They introduced themselves and began talking, but only the two of them could see each other—no one else could see their reflections in the mirrors.

They decided to meet in person. When the time came, they arrived at the agreed location.

But they could not see each other.

They could not even sense each other’s presence.

It turned out that their worlds were different.

For example, in his world, an old tree had fallen. But in her world, that same tree was in full bloom.
