Argos: Sky, take care of her for me.
He carried Alepou and placed her next to Skylos, his hands glowing faintly as he healed her before stepping away.
Skylos: Good to see you again, dude.
Argos: Okami, back off, you'll get caught in the crossfire.
Okami: I'll be just fine.
Argos: Don't blame me if you get hurt. Volk, there's no point in waiting anymore, use your Telum.
Volk: Right.
Dark clouds swirled overhead, casting deep shadows over the battlefield. Lightning cracked violently through the sky, illuminating the warriors below. Without hesitation, Thor hurled his hammer toward Argos, who ducked under it with ease, summoning his own Telum in the same motion.
Inu, already outside, summoned his own weapon and attempted to lift the hammer from the ground to strike Thor with it. He strained but couldn't budge it. Volk turned back, seeing Inu struggling.
Volk: Inu, there's no time!
Thunder roared as Thor summoned power into his hands, his entire body crackling with divine energy. His eyes glowed like twin storm clouds, the sheer force he gathered making the air hum.
Thor: Now! Let's see if this will knock some sense into you.
He extended his hand, sending rapid bursts of electricity toward Volk. The air sizzled with each strike, but Volk stood motionless, letting the energy surge through him. Argos furrowed his brow, confused at Volk's lack of reaction.
When Thor finally ceased his attack, he reached out and recalled Mjölnir. Argos wasted no time, lunging forward with his axe. Thor barely sidestepped, dodging with a fluid grace before countering with a swing of his hammer. Their weapons clashed, sparks flying from the impact.
From behind Thor, Aster appeared, his claymore gleaming. He swung with a deadly arc, but Thor dissolved into pure electricity, flickering away as the blade passed through. Argos ducked as Aster's sword narrowly missed him.
They turned just in time to see Thor raise his hammer again, this time aiming for Aster. Before he could strike, Volk appeared between them. His body radiated heat, faint wisps of smoke escaping from his mouth. His eyes gleamed with an unnatural glow.
Thor flung Mjölnir at him. Volk raised a single hand and caught it midair. The battlefield froze. Inu, Aster, and Argos all stared in shock.
Inu: Oh, but he can grab it!
Volk turned, smirking at Inu.
Volk: Now, is that all the mighty Thor has to throw at us?
Thor snapped his fingers, and lightning surged into the hammer, sending electric arcs searing through Volk's body.
Volk: Tis' but a flesh wound.
Thor: WHAT?!
Volk grinned, exhaling another stream of smoke.
Volk: So... how ya like me now, sparky?
Meanwhile, Okami glanced at Inu.
Okami: Give me the gauntlets.
Inu: Be careful... you're not as resistant as us, even with my Telum.
Okami: It's fine. I can handle myself.
Okami strapped on the gauntlets and sprinted toward the battle. Before he could reach Thor, however, the god of thunder scowled and raised his hammer to the sky.
Thor: Alright then... Hildur, they're all yours! I swear, just when it was getting fun.
A shadow loomed behind him, descending gracefully from the stormy sky. A woman materialized, pulling a massive scythe from thin air.
Hildur: So, you're the children of Accalia that our lady wants.
Accalia? Lykos' voice echoed in Argos' head.
Argos: It doesn't matter who she mentions now, Ly, just shut up and let me finish.
Okami: What the hell are you talking about?
Hildur: Once I take you in, you'll know.
She snapped her fingers. A massive dragon emerged from behind her, its eyes glowing with unnatural light.
Aster: What the hell?
Volk: I thought dragons had gone extinct!
Argos: No, they did. This dragon was partially revived. If she really is the Hildur, then she has the power to bring things back to life.
Okami: You know who she is?
Argos: She's a Valkyrie. Of course I know. Volk should too.
Volk: Totally...
The dragon unleashed a torrential blast of fire. The group scattered, barely avoiding the flames. But while they were focused on the dragon, Hildur moved past them, heading straight for those in the back.
Okami: Hey! Your fight is over here!
He lunged at her, swinging with all his strength, but she effortlessly deflected his punch with her scythe. Without hesitation, she turned and swung at Inu.
Kitsune suddenly dashed in the way, shoving Inu aside just before the blade could reach him. She gasped, collapsing to the ground. Blood spattered the dirt as her severed arm landed beside her. Hildur scoffed, kicking her out of the way.
Hildur: If you are eliminated, then your friend over there loses his Telum.
Argos, Aster, and Volk remained focused on the dragon, unaware of what had happened behind them. Okami, however, saw it all.
His eyes widened. He clenched his fists so tightly his nails dug into his palms. His breath grew ragged. A crimson aura surrounded him as light began forming in his hand. His hair brightened slightly, his rage fueling something deep inside him.
Okami: You monster!
His foot slammed into the ground, his body tensed. His breathing grew heavier, more erratic.
Okami: You took him! NOW I'M MAD. I'M REALLY, REALLY MAD!
The energy in his hand pulsed violently, morphing into a deep red scythe with a black outline. He charged at Hildur, clashing weapons with her in a storm of raw fury.
Argos: Aster, Volk, take care of Kitsune. I'll help Okami take her down.
You could've helped him! Lykos shouted in Argos' head.
Argos: I had to take care of the dragon.
Argos sprinted forward, axe in hand, as Okami swung relentlessly. Hildur tried to counter, but Okami's attacks were unpredictable, wild. She swung at him, but he stretched his limbs unnaturally to avoid her reach while maintaining pressure.
Argos seized the opening, sliding beneath Hildur and slicing at her leg. She staggered but quickly spread her wings, launching a barrage of razor-sharp feathers at them.
Argos: Volk! Throw me up there!
Volk grabbed him, built momentum, and hurled Argos into the sky. Harpies materialized around Hildur, but Argos tore through them mid-air. He twisted, throwing his axe at her just as Okami kept her occupied. The weapon struck her back, severing her wings.
Hildur plummeted to the ground, gasping in shock. Okami landed beside her, his aura flaring wildly.
With no hesitation, he gripped his scythe and sliced her in half.
Her body dissipated, leaving two glowing orbs in its place. A ghostly spirit emerged, vanishing into the distance. Okami dropped his scythe and sprinted to Kitsune, his face stricken with desperation.
Argos collapsed to his knees, exhausted.
His hair faded to brown. His hoodie and beanie returned to normal. Lykos stood up, body aching, and stumbled toward Kitsune, trying to heal her.
Volk: Where the fuck were you the entire time?!
Sobaka: I fell asleep again.
Volk: YOU FUCKING MORON!
Sobaka: Relax, everything is fine... right?
