It’s Christmas Eve, I get to spend it with Dae-hyun tonight. I should be happy about it but, no one has visited me today or has wished me a happy Christmas Eve. Dae-hyun is the only one who’s wished me a happy Christmas Eve, he invited me to the studio to meet the new electric guitarist. According to Byung-ho sunbae, he’s a 22-year-old Japanese college student about to graduate. I’m excited to meet him, Dae-hyun says he’s not interested but Byung-ho sunbae forced him to come over. I think the guy’s name was Nakamura Yua, he hasn’t arrived to the studio though. He should’ve been there by now, probably overslept, I feel him. He’s the little brother of Hayami, she’s my friend and basically my noona since she’s older than me. I arrive at the studio and enter, I say hello to the girl at the front desk and walk my way to the studio. Seong-ho arrives and we greet each other. A couple minutes after he arrives, the new guy also arrives. He slowly enters and when he finally enters, my heart can’t stop beating. Wait, I can’t do this to Seong-ho, we’re dating and that would be so wrong! But I can’t stop looking at him, he looks so cute and handsome, I’ll win him over without Seong-ho noticing, then I’ll break up with Seong-ho so me and the new guy can be together. I look at the face Dae-hyun is making, he’s starting at Yua with a flushed face. I can tell he’s nervous, I can even tell that he’s in love with him. I feel heartbroken, Dae-hyun has fallen out of love. I guess, I should move on too, this relationship was hopeless anyways, but why can’t I? Narrator’s (me) POV -
At the end of the day, they all go out for drinks and Dae-hyun is constantly talking to Yua. Seong-ho watches in heartbreak and slight jealousy. They go out for drinks, Yua and Seong-ho get really drunk, Byung-ho offers to bring Seong-ho home and Dae-hyun offers to take Yua home. But in the end, they decide that Dae-hyun is taking both Seong-ho and Yua home, Dae-hyun puts Seong-ho in the backseat and he puts Yua in the front seat next to him. A couple minutes in and Yua wakes up, still a little drunk, he asks Dae-hyun where they’re going and Dae-hyun says he’s taking them home. Well, I guess I stood no chance anyways. I watch in shock as Dae-hyun presses his lips against Yua’s lips. Tears roll down my cheeks but I stay quiet and say nothing, I decide to cry myself to sleep because it’s pointless to call him out on it anyways. Dae-hyun doesn’t love me anymore, I’ll send him a text in the morning, we’ll break up like that. I’m not going to make the effort to speak to him in person, or I’ll breakdown in front of him.
