Err...
Hi.
It's been quite a bit since I last wrote on here.
Anyway.
Does anyone understand R^2? Because I kind of do, but I had to do a presentation for math that included R^2. If you don't know, R^2 shows how strong the correlation is between two variables. A perfect correlation has an R^2 of 1, while no correlation has an R^2 of 0.545Please respect copyright.PENANAdB0AVsJKiJ
I essentially had to analyze how/if the number of extracurriculars someone did would affect the number of hours they spent on their homework.545Please respect copyright.PENANARBnj7r2PAT
Then I calculated linear regression, cubic regression, quadratic regression, and quartic regression, and the highest R^2 value I got was 0.08 which therefore means there is practically no correlation between the two variables.545Please respect copyright.PENANAkyWrMXsGKF
So now I can't use the excuse that I couldn't do my homework because I had a lot of extracurriculars.
And now I feel kind of smart for understanding something in math that literally has nothing to do with geometry.
