A/N~ Mention of abuse in this chapter
It was finally Friday. I woke up and picked out my outfit. It was a cute blue croptop and some black skinny jeans. I tied up half of my hair and put a bow in it. I grabbed my bag and went downstairs. I saw my mom in the kitchen. I tried to be quite and walk out the door, but she heard me.

"Rose! What are you doing?" She yelled at me.
"I-i'm going to school mom" I stuttered
"Looking like that? You're such a slut" she said grabbing my arm.
"M-mom I'm gonna be late to school. P-please let me go" I tried not cry.
I then felt a sharp pain on the right side of my face. I touched it with the hand that was free out of her grasp.
" Don't beg honey. It makes you seem weak. And I did not raise a weak child" she claimed.
Her grip on my arm got tighter. I could fell a bruise already start to form. She dragged me over to the kitchen and grabbed a knife.
"M-mom...I-I have to go to s-school" I stuttered with tears in my eyes.
" I guess you'll be late then huh? Your father would be so disappointed in you" she shook her head at me.
She laid my arm on the table and took the knife to my skin. I closed my eyes as I felt it go across my skin. I held in my screams with only a few whimpers escaping my mouth. I heard her set the knife in the sink. She then let go of my arm.
"Go clean up bitch. Next time don't dress like a slut" she said walking away to leave for work.
I quickly ran upstairs to my bathroom and washed the blood off my arm. I then cleaned and wrapped it up. I heard the front door slam shut. That's when I let my tears out. I couldn't hold in my sobs. (What did I do to deserve this? Why did my sister have to leave and abandon me with mom?) I walked back into my room and grabbed a black jacket so my arms would covered up. I then walked down the stairs and grabbed my bag. I was gonna be 15 minutes late to school now. I hurried and started my walk to school.

When I finally got to school I headed to the office to get a late slip. The office lady liked me for some reason and always offered to help me if I ever needed anything.
"Hey sweetheart what I can help you with?" She asked as I walked in.
" I need a late slip please. I had to walk to school today and didn't realize what time it was." I slightly lied. I always walk to school, but she didn't need to know that.
"Sure thing darling" she smiled brightly at me.
She handed me the green colored slip and I left the office. I walked to my first class and handed the slip to the teacher. She nodded thanks to me as I left to go find my seat. Thank god everyone was reading from their textbooks and not paying attention to me. Five classes later and it was finally time for lunch. I walked over to Nadine and sat down.
"You got any plans later Nadine?"
"I think I'm hanging out with Erwin again" she smiled shyly.
"Does Nadine have a crush?" I gasped
" Oh shut up. You're going on a date with Nick later. If anyone has a crush it's you" she laughed.
"....you got me there" I blushed. It was quite for a minute before I spoke again.
"Nadine...do you think you'll be friends with Krista again?"
" I don't know....what she did was really shitty. First she fucked my brother while I was passed out. Then she just went and acted like she was better than me at that party....she left me alone and went to go hang out with the rich preppy kids. I would have never ditched you guys, and I know you'd never ditch us either. I don't know how I feel about being friends with again. I hope one day, but I just don't know"
I rubbed her back and told her I hoped we could all be friends again one day too. After that discussion we just ate and told jokes to each other for the rest of lunch.

It was now my last class and I was sitting next to Nick. I was writing down what the teacher was saying in my notes. All of a sudden a piece of paper landed on my desk. I unfolded and read the note.

I glanced over at him and smiled. I wrote a note back and threw it to him when the teacher wasn't looking. The note said
You don't look that bad either ~R
I went to finish writing down what the teacher said when another note flew on my desk.
Ready for our date? ~N
I wrote back saying (yes ~R) then thew it on his desk. The bell than rang and I gathered my things together. Nick waited for me by the door. We started walking out of class when he said "you should dress casual, but fancy. Any dress would be fine"
I smiled at him and said okay. We stopped walking as soon as we got outside. He grabbed my hand and I looked at him.
"Do want a ride home? I worry when you have to walk by yourself" he said looking in my eyes.
" It's alright. I don't want to be bother. And you worry about me?" I smiled as I said the last thing.
" I like you Rose, so of course I worry. I don't want you to get hurt walking alone" he said while rubbing my hand that he had in his.
"Okay. I guess another ride couldn't hurt" I said.
He smiled and led me to his car. He opened the passenger door for me and then went to the driver side. He started up the car and left the school parking lot. About 10 minutes later we were at my house. I looked over at him and smiled.
"Thanks for the ride" I said.
"No problem. I'll pick you up six. Don't forget". He said smiling at me.
We said our goodbyes and I walked up and went in my house. I quickly cleaned up the living room and did the dishes. I then walked upstairs to bedroom to pick out a dress to wear. The only problem was I didn't know what one to pick. I called Nadine for some help.

We hung up and I started to get dressed. I put the black dress on. It went down to my knees. I then found some back flats to go with it. I went to the bathroom to start on my hair. I decided to leave it down instead of putting it up. I then put some gold earrings in and a gold necklace. By the time I was done with everything it was almost six. As soon as I grabbed my purse I heard a knock at the door.
