Akira was born in Washington Heights and raised there. That was until she was 4 years old. You see, Akira had 2 cousins. Hinata and Ayako. They were both moving moving to Japan with their parents, Akira’s aunt and uncle. Akira was sent over there to keep her cousins company while their parents packed. The next day, they went to drop Akira off at her parents house but instead Akira’s parents had been murdered the night before. Akira knew what was going on despite her age. Her aunt and uncle had no choice but to bring her to Japan with them. They quickly realised when there that they could not support their family with the addition of another child. So, they gave her up to an orphanage. There she remained until she was 5 when she was adopted by a middle age couple. They were not the nicest of people, her father preferred to go into town than feed Akira and her mother ignored her. They hit her a few times but it was not long until the authorities found out. She had been with her parents for 6 years at this point. Akira was taken out of their care, fortunately. At this time, Akira had a best friend called Naomi who convicted her parents to adopt Akira. There she lived a better and normal life. Until she meets a special someone at a masquerade ball.
