@Sonder, that's when the baby in a basket is left on the doorstep. Have you seriously not heard of the Doorstep Baby Trope before?

@Alysa, I've heard of the baby being left on a doorstep, but didn't know what it was called. LOL! What is your favorite romance trope?

@Sonder, I don't talk in private chat, sorry. What kind of tropes are you thinking?

@Sonder, then we have a problem, because I NEED private messaging, or people misconstrue anything I do, and bullies call me naughty things I clearly am/do not!

@Alysa, I sorry people do that. This is supposed to be a safe place. I am the leader of the society and I will kick anyone out if they abuse anyone else. You can private message me if you want, but I will reply here.

@Sonder, The list of tropes are as follows;
Childhood Sweethearts
Soulmates: 2 (I suppose 3 in my case) characters destined to be together, often with supernatural elements
Christmas Romance
Meet Cute: The characters meet in an unusual or humorous way
Marriage of Convenience: The characters need to get married soon.
Doorstep Baby Trope: The door is opened by the child's adoptive parents, who are always fully accepting of the baby and their new roles as parents instead of contacting the authorities (and it just so happens that someone is always home and awake to answer the door, thus sparing the baby from dying of exposure).

I think you can fit all the tropes together in one story. It could be like a love story of two people through the years. Those are good tropes! :)

I just like the enemies to lovers trope. A lot of comedy can come from it and banter is fun to write.

I like characters who try to give off tough guy vibes so nobody notices what they're actually struggling with (examples in television include Rosa Diaz from Brooklyn Nine Nine and Jamie Tartt or Roy Kent from Ted Lasso, in literature I can only think of Grantaire from Les Miserables because I haven't read fictional novels in years)
Similarly, a favorite relationship dynamic is enemies who become not enemies after the one with more power in the situation learns the other is being abused and the other is so confused why somebody who hates them gives a damn.

Its just... wish fulfillment to the highest extent (i don't have anyone who hates me in my life but even the thought of acquaintances realizing and caring that bad horrible unwanted activities occur behind closed doors... impossible to believe would occur IRL so I create those exact scenarios in fiction)

Trauma responses are a favorite part of characters to write, particularly because they can directly contradict each other - competing access needs causing the enemy-aspect of the above mentioned relationship is yet another trope i love writing, like when one character is extremely quick to anger and the other shuts down amd shutting down makes first character feel unheard and even angrier only second character is actually dissociating because people being angry with them usually leads to violence or emotional abuse.

Sorry if these responses are TMI and you were hoping for more light-hearted stuff.
