TW: drowning
Sighing, Marcus made his way back into the house through the back door. The clock on the stove said that it was eight thirty at night. He knew it was only a matter of time before he'd need to go to bed. So, he slowly followed his usual routine of procrastination. He debated on if he should do a shower or bath. But considering that last time he took a bath, he was yanked into a dream and damn near drowned, he was wary of trying that again. So shower it was. Marcus decided he'd just take his time to wash up. Once he was done, he brushed his teeth and traveled to his room after to get dressed. He hated the way the bathroom steamed after a hot shower. Made it impossible to comfortably get dressed. After pulling on a pair of sweats, he travelled to the kitchen to get a glass of water, noting the forming headache as he grabbed a book along the way. Marcus rolled his eyes, getting a cold glass of water, sighing as he felt the cool liquid travel. He swore. He was dehydrated with the way the water felt. As if it was watering his deprived organs. Taking his glass of water, he headed into the living room and sat with his copy of Ender's Game. The book was tattered from the years and many times he'd read this book. The entire series was his favorite. He opened the book to where his makeshift bookmark was, a tattered gum wrapper. The headache was increasing, but he continued to ignore the push on his mind as he became once again immersed in the world of Ender Wiggin. He much preferred the world of the fictitious character versus his own reality. 125Please respect copyright.PENANAtOJtQGgpZV
The time ticked by as he read, but the headache was slowly turning into a migraine, making it harder to ignore. His vision was becoming warped with the pain in his head, but he pushed on, taking the aspirin on the table next to his recliner in the hopes it would settle. But he knew the actual reason for the increasing pain. His pulse was beating harder over the course of time, as if someone was incessantly knocking on the door. You could say that's exactly what was happening. After another thirty minutes or so, it became absolutely unbearable and he decided to get up, stumbling back to his bedroom blindly, flicking lights off as he went. The clock on his bedside table read 10 till midnight and he groaned as he flopped down into the bed just as he was practically forcefully dragged into the deep sleep he knew would come. 125Please respect copyright.PENANA2NaEepdOFO
He decided to not open his eyes. Convincing himself that if he didn't look the angry being wouldn't be standing over him. But he felt the presence. An angry wave of energy like he carried was impossible to ignore. Before Marcus knew it he was shoved out of the bed, tumbling to the floor and hitting his head, landing haphazardly on his back. Marcus groaned, rolling onto his side as he tried to gain the breath that was knocked out of him with the force of the fall. "Why the fuck...?" He coughed, deciding to get to his feet. As he stood, he came face to face with an aggressive reflection of himself, the being on the verge of growling. Marcus raised his hands, "Alright, bud. Look. Chill out. You and I both know this isn't gonna be easy as usual. Why the fuck are you so damn insistent? You couldn't wait?" 125Please respect copyright.PENANAG2DyjZSmV3
The angry man signed that he didn't like to be kept waiting. 125Please respect copyright.PENANAg4zBB7Zsuq
Marcus rolled his eyes, heading to the bedroom door. Angry Marcus intercepted him, blocking his exit and Marcus huffed in frustration. 125Please respect copyright.PENANAFAWLO6tpzF
"Look here. Move out of my way. I don't HAVE to deal with you. You're wasting my time."125Please respect copyright.PENANACaJLXqLNOJ
He glared at him, unmoving as he crossed his arms, obviously choosing not to listen to Marcus. 125Please respect copyright.PENANAox37mlQu3a
Marcus growled and shouldered him out of the way hard, kicking him before making his exit out of the bedroom door. 125Please respect copyright.PENANAgF32tbsbvf
He could hear the look alike get up and swung around just in time to be tackled to the floor of the hallway. Marcus fought to get him to get off of him, but the other had the advantage and all Marcus could do was block as he realized that he was trying to fight him. Marcus lifted his knee, catching the other off guard as he got him right in the crotch, him crying out and rolling off, holding himself as he huddled into the fetal position on his side. Marcus jumped up and kicked him a few times to make sure he couldn't get up, then ran to the front door, grabbing the car keys and rushing out of the door. He heard Angry Marcus yell out as he realized what Marcus was planning to do. Marcus hopped into the car, starting it up, and backing out of the driveway, putting the car into drive, but before he could get far, the asshole was sitting in the backseat and as soon as he noticed he hit the brake, causing him to fly forward as he lunged. He grabbed Marcus as the forward motion continued, throwing them both out of the front windshield and onto the ground. They both got up, but Marcus didn't block in time as the wind was knocked out of him by the hard gut check. Before Marcus could compose himself enough to retaliate though, the sharp sound of his blaring alarm clock yanked him out of the nightmare.
