For hundredths of years the Realms of Fire, Water, Earth and Wind coexisted peacefully until the age of the Great Schism. Four Kingdoms and their many races became divided — and for a time, though there was peace, there was certainly no Realm at rest.
Lia Annaïse De Claire had been barely of age at the time of her coronation, and a war within the Realm of Water had erupted as news of a future Queen --instead of King-- to rule them all reached every inch of their kingdom. Not many living creatures had felt prepared to bow their lives before a female —rather than a boy or man.
Her father had died, and her mother still today is kept locked in a tower, consumed by her own madness, nothing more than a living corpse of what she once used to be. Lia did have a friend, though —Adrian, the royal counselor, a friend as well as the closest thing Lia now has as to a parent.
But there are matters that not even a royal counselor can aid or partake in.
Lia's people were gradually weakening, their lands dying at a deliberate pace. Neither Queen nor kingdom were entirely sure what could account for the phenomenon, and so the early night saw Geraldine cover her light blue gown with a dark cape, entering an abandoned cathedral, far far away from safe haven, now in territory of a man whom she both fears and esteems in terrifying measures.
He is the only one who can save her now.
”Et regnum tuum usque in profundum venerit de terra longinqua.
Praesta revertar in pace.”.
