“It may be a human but it's not a person”172Please respect copyright.PENANAWxsWVLYOaE
Call me an extremist but I don't think there is any such thing as a “human non-person”. It's an incredibly dystopian concept and as I said in the previous chapter, now we are coming up with philosophical definitions of when a human “counts” as a human which, like I demonstrated, is a very dangerous area to step into.

“Even if it is a human, it doesn't matter because a woman should get to do what she wants with her body”172Please respect copyright.PENANAj5hNyyI4UV
Should I get to do whatever I want with my body, even if it includes killing another human? If I go out and punch someone to death, I am technically just doing what I want with my own hands. No, you can't use your body to kill people. The right to not be murdered is more important.

“It's the merciful thing to do if the kid will be disabled or poor”172Please respect copyright.PENANA2UwoFsvmoY
Would it be merciful to kill disabled and poor children after they've been born? People with difficult lives still deserve to live.

“Pro-lifers only care about people before they're born, they don't care about the woman or the baby afterwards”172Please respect copyright.PENANATmf2ghF4Qw
Pro-life organisations run hundreds of pregnancy crisis centres, volunteer run groups that help both pregnant women, and mothers who have given birth, financially, give them a place to stay if they don't have one, and offer councelling; pro-lifers also adopt more than any other group and donate a lot of money to charity; and even all this aside, none of this is a requirement to be against killing humans.

“What if the woman was assaulted?”172Please respect copyright.PENANA8NAKQ8uvXX
Less than 1% of abortions are related to sexual assault. It's incredibly rare. The discussion is complicated, but for the record, would you accept a law that outlaws all abortion EXCEPT for sexual assault cases? If your answer is no then stop using this argument because you're not trying to keep it legal for those women, you are trying to also keep it legal for the other 99% who just don't want to be pregnant.

“What if her life is in danger?”172Please respect copyright.PENANA2iaRf1tq7Z
This is probably the case where most would say abortion is justifiable, since we're talking about one life against another. Yes, a woman should be able to have a medically necessary abortion.

“If you ban abortions, people will still have abortions, just in more unsafe conditions”172Please respect copyright.PENANA0MZMfDcrL4
We have a law against murder, but people still commit murder. Same with all other laws. Should those laws be removed? Is it unfair for thieves that they have to steal under more unsafe conditions?
And anti-abortion laws do work. Even ones that don't even ban abortion, but just make it less accessible, have large effects.
On top of that, the vast majority of women who were denied abortions, say later on that they are glad they didn't get one.

I could go on, but this would get really long. This list pretty comprehensively covers every argument pro-abortionists use.

No human should be killed because they are an inconvenience to someone else. Abortion is murder. We can't call ourselves a civilised society as long as we keep killing our kids.
