Then there was a commotion from inside a nearby house.

Catherine removes the energy, and they run in the direction of the sounds.
They run into the house, fnding a small girl, crying underneath the table. The house room they entered was in shambles, scratch marks all over the walls and furniture. Chrono runs to the little girl under the table. She looks up, in obvious shock.

"Did you see what attacked you and your family?"
She nodded.

"She's not them. She's a friend of mine, like I said."

Catherine carefully cradles Lillian in her arms, standing her upright. The bubble fills up, protecting the little one from danger.

"...What the hell?" She touches the injury on her cheek, blood smearing onto her fngers.
"Stand back. It's here." A shadow looms from the alleyway. It speaks with a lispy, yet deadly voice. "Give me the child..."

like it. Its lanky frame whipped from side to side without any means of balancing itself. It continually used to either leg to thrust forward with a series of kicks and other attacks. However, even its power was strong enough to knock Catherine off her feet.

"You attacked this poor girl and killed her family. For what reason?" Chrono interrogated.
"For the power!" It shouts, its voice echoing in the alley. "To take what is rightfully mine!"
"Heh...heh heh. And I shall kill again. Try and keep up..." The shadow hisses, disappearing into dark smoke.

"Before it hurts someone..again..." Chrono followed suit.
Out in the street, Catherine, Chrono and Lillian look around for Sheido, but they're unsuccessful. There's too many cars to look under, so many buildings or people it could be under. However, as they continue to look, Chrono sees a small group of people gathered around what seems to be a body.
"Hey! Stop!" He shouts, running towards them.

sidewalk. Sheido had definitely killed this man.
"This thing's fast..."
"Mr. Chrono, there it goes!" Lillian shouts as she points to a building across the street.
"Good eye, kid!" Catherine says, running up to the building.
With a deep breath, Catherine begins to feel a burning energy within her body, before releasing it in a fiery blast. But, by just a hair, it missed Sheido, allowing it to escape.
It causes more destruction as it runs off, cutting trees from their bases, killing people and consuming their souls, destroying houses... nothing was safe.
"This is really starting to piss me off!" Catherine shouts as she runs up to the shattered, destroyed remains of one of the houses.
"Calm down, but what do we do?" Chrono asked as he watched the sun continue to set in the horizon.
"We have to find Sheido and kill it before it kills everyone and us too!"
Chrono stops time in order to get a headstart. Then, Catherine takes the two, climbs on top of a destroyed building, and runs as fast as she can. She can see little parts of the city through the slits of buildings and is relatively sure that she's running in the right direction.
She then stops in the middle of a building, and sets up a forcefield, finally having Sheido trapped.
"Well? There's nowhere to go. You can hand me the soul piece now, or I can kill you. The choice is yours."
Sheido was reluctant to give up, but seeing how its partner was becoming more and more impatient, it decided it needed to fight back. It gets into a fighting stance.
"That's what I like to see." Catherine states as she starts to laugh.
Sheido lunges, allowing Catherine to throw it onto the other side of the forcefield and receive lots of damage.
It hisses.
"So predictable, Sheido. You keep pulling the same stunt and expect me to be surprised every time..."
"I can't let you have this!"
With a sharp claw, it stabs Catherine in the stomach.
"Damn it!" Catherine cries.
Sheido pushes the already deep claw even deeper, causing Catherine to cough up more blood.
"I will not allowed you to take this from me."
Catherine spits blood in its face. "If you d-don't want me to take it..."
With great force, Catherine grabs the soul piece from Sheido's chest, causing it to scream.
"...Then don't come so close..." she takes out the soul piece, which quickly enters Catherine's Prodigy watch. After she has done that, she holds it tightly.259Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡJJLIRmE6is
The Prodigy watch glows with bright white light.
Chrono stares at the glowing object. "What is it?"
"It's the soul piece. She has it." Verna calls.
"She...has it?"
"The three soul pieces accumulated so far have been hiding in the Prodigies' watches for safe keeping, until we can gather all five of them and put my soul back together."
"What about the Fabric? If we don't fix it soon, the universe will collapse!" Chrono yells.

"I understand. I'll help." Chrono offers.
"Are you sure?"
"Absolutely. As Father Time, it's important I help my people. My purpose is to protect my people and save humanity. That means helping those I love."
"We have to hurry and get the others. We have to gather the remaining soul pieces as quickly as possible, so Verna and the other Timekeepers can mend the Fabric."
"Right. Okay. Let's go."
With that, Chrono takes the lead, they run back to the cabin. Once there, they inform the others of the situation, and ask for their help. Everyone agrees to help and heads out to gather the rest of the soul pieces. Lillian is taken care of by Ezra.
They begin an all out war with the Timebreakers by doing this. They just have to live to see it through to the end.
