If the only reason he’d date you is because you’re hot, I’d say be wary. Don’t just date him for the sake of being in a relationship.
My first boyfriend in high school was when I was a freshman. Like you, it was new and exciting to me. The relationship only lasted like 3 months though. He broke up with me, saying he still wanted to be friends and I was cool with that.
Then there was another guy I had a crush on, I tried asking him out but got friend zoned.
Then another guy had a crush on me, but I didn’t feel the same way back but I kinda wanted to be in a relationship again, and my best friend told me don’t date someone just for the sake of being in a relationship. So I friend zoned him.
Then, I told my crush from 1st grade that I liked him (we’ve known each other all those years since and are really good friends, and to this day we still are) but he friend zoned me which I was fine with.
That was 2019. Then in 2020, I met my current boyfriend at my church and we’ve been together since (some stuff happened with my family that resulted in me moving in with him and his family…but that’s a whole other story).
Long story short, be patient and be picky. While someone saying you’re hot isn’t a bad thing, just be sure he’s not just going to use you.
Oh, last thing. Communicating is the key. If you’re sure you want to be in a relationship with him, keep talking to him about it. Ask why his mom says that, and maybe encourage him to ask her if it’d be okay if he had a girlfriend (I asked my mom my freshman year if I could have a boyfriend XD).
